Frequently asked questions.
What does the advice cost me?
Nothing. Advice and arranging the contract are free for you. If a contract is signed, the supplier pays MB Finance a commission. You pay the tariff price shown in the quote – with no surcharge from us.
Can my electricity or gas be cut off when I switch?
No. Electricity and gas keep coming through the same lines. If something goes wrong during the switch, the local default supplier (Grundversorger) supplies you for the time being under substitute supply (Ersatzversorgung) until the new contract starts.
Which suppliers do you work with?
We arrange tariffs from several suppliers that MB Finance works with. We do not compare the whole market, but we tell you honestly if your current contract is already good.
What do I need for a quote?
Ideally your last annual bill (Jahresabrechnung): it shows your consumption, meter number and prices. For a first quote, your postcode and approximate annual consumption are enough.
Do you also give advice in Persian?
Yes. We give advice in German, Persian and English, by phone or Microsoft Teams. You receive the quote in German plus Persian or English.
Do you only give advice in Hamburg?
No. Our office is in Hamburg, but we give advice across Germany – by phone or Microsoft Teams.
