Advice

How we advise – openly and clearly.

Energy contracts are full of technical terms and deadlines. We explain your options in simple words and also tell you when switching is not worth it right now.

The process

From the first contact to the first delivery by your new supplier.

  1. 01

    Getting to know you

You describe your situation: switching, moving house, a price increase or a business. Feel free to send us your last annual bill.

  2. 02

    Review

We check the consumption, prices, contract term and notice period of your current contract.

  3. 03

    Comparison

We compare the tariffs of the suppliers we work with and explain the differences in price guarantee, contract term and bonus.

  4. 04

    Quote

You receive a quote as a PDF – in German plus Persian or English – and decide in your own time.

  5. 05

    Order

You sign on screen or via a link. The new supplier usually cancels your old contract and registers you with the network operator (Netzbetreiber).

  6. 06

    Ongoing support

We remain your contact person – also before your price guarantee ends, when it is time for a new comparison.

Our principles

What you can rely on

  • We explain the unit price (Arbeitspreis), standing charge (Grundpreis), bonus and price guarantee (Preisgarantie) in a way you can understand.
  • We compare the annual costs – with and without the bonus.
  • We tell you the contract term and notice period before you sign.
  • We tell you honestly if your current contract is good.

What we do not do

  • No recommendations for tariffs with prepayment or a deposit.
  • No promises of the “cheapest tariff on the market”.
  • No signing under time pressure – you decide in your own time.
  • No passing on your data for advertising purposes.

How we are paid

Advice and arranging the contract are free for you. If a contract is signed, the energy supplier pays MB Finance a commission. You pay the tariff price shown in the quote – with no surcharge from us.

MB Finance works with several suppliers. We compare their tariffs, not the whole market. That is why we also tell you if your current contract already suits you well.

Advice that suits you

01

Three languages

We give advice in German, Persian and English. You receive the quote in two languages.

02

Phone or Teams

Our appointments take place by phone or Microsoft Teams – across Germany, with no travel.

03

Documents sent digitally

You can send bills and photos via WhatsApp or email. We only discuss bank details when you place an order.

Your data

We only use your details for your request and your order. We store your bank details and signature in encrypted form in our energy portal. We only pass data on to suppliers once you place an order.

You will find all the details in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to switch after the advice?

No. The advice and the quote are non-binding. You decide yourself whether and when to switch.

Can I withdraw from the order?

As a consumer, you usually have a 14-day right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) for energy contracts. The details are in the supplier's withdrawal notice (Widerrufsbelehrung).

Do you also look after business customers?

Yes. For the self-employed, medical practices, hospitality, retail and offices, we compare business tariffs for electricity and gas.

What if there are problems with the supplier?

Contact us. We help with questions about your bill, monthly instalment (Abschlag) or switching. For legal disputes, you can contact the energy arbitration board (Schlichtungsstelle Energie).
