Kilowatt hours = cubic metres × calorific value × conversion factor. The calorific value shows how much energy there is in one cubic metre of gas. The conversion factor takes into account the pressure and temperature of the gas at your meter, for example the altitude.
Both values are set by your network operator (Netzbetreiber). They are shown on your annual bill and can change slightly from year to year.
1,100 m³ × 11.2 kWh/m³ × 0.95 = 11,704 kWh. At 11.9 ct/kWh, this consumption costs around €1,393.
Usually about 10 to 11 kWh. The exact value is the calorific value × conversion factor from your bill.
Because the energy content of gas varies. You are billed for the energy supplied, not for the volume.
On your annual gas bill, usually in the section on how your consumption was determined. You can also ask your network operator for the values.
